Below, installation and adjustment of the Room to Room Strap are described. The Room to Room Strap will be
mounted relatively close to the doorframe, depending on the height of the doorframe top piece. However, it is
important that the strap is mounted at such a height that the caregiver can reach it to connect the lift unit. The
min. distance from the floor to the lowest point on the Room to Room Strap should be 190 cm (74.80 inch.) to
enable optimum lifting height. The Room to Room Strap must not fit so closely around the doorframe that the
Strap Gripper is inhibited from sliding freely.
Installation and Adjustment of Room to Room Strap (Prod. No. 3136251-53)
1. Start by connecting the Room to room Strap to the Quick-
release Hook in one room. Extend the strap so that it reaches
the Quick-release Hook in the other room. NOTE! Make sure
to leave enough room for the Strap Gripper to move freely
under the doorframe. Hold your thumb and index finger on the
marked spot (see illustration) while the strap is unhooked.
3. Slide the strap covers away from the
strap joints (on both ends of the strap).
4. Remove the safety pin and loosen the strap.
Repeat on the other strap joint.
2. Measure the length of the strap, as illustrated.
6. Thread the folded strap end into the strap joint,
as indicated by the arrows.
7. Replace the safety pin
into the strap fold.
8. Tighten the strap properly.
Make sure that the safety pin is
correctly mounted, so that it prevents the strap from gliding out.
5. Adjust both ends of the strap to the desired
length (as measured in step 2).
NOTE! Excess strap must not be cut off,
due to the risk of the strap gliding out.
