Lower Multirall until the Room to
Room Strap carries the full weight of
the patient.
Then, run out an extra 10 cm (4 inch.)
of lift strap to provide enough slack to
enable it to be disconnected.
Keep hand tension on the lift
strap as you run it out of the lift
motor.
Disconnect the lift strap from the Quick-release Hook in room 1
and connect it to the Quick-release Hook in room 2. To prevent
the lift strap from twisting (which in turn causes the SSP Limit
Switch to activate, see page 5), the lift unit must be turned
manually so that the lift strap is straight when it runs into the lift
unit (see inset illustration).
Only when the lift strap runs straight into the lift
unit can the transfer to room 2 proceed (see inset
illustration).
Run the lift up until the weight of the patient has
been fully transferred to the carriage in room 2.
It is very important to ensure that the strap
does not twist while it is running up, as this
would cause it to bind as it enters the lift unit.
Disconnect the Strap Gripper.
Transfer the patient to room 2.
Check carefully at each stage to ensure that the load-bearing Quick-release Hook is securely
fastened!
