How To…REMOVE AND REPLACE SPRING - UPPER
Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver, 5/32” Allen head wrench, and 7’16” Open end wrench
Step 1
Turn the power OFF. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
Step 2
Remove the HOUSING. (See “How To...”)
Step 3
Lower the PEDAL LEVER on the side with the worn UPPER SPRING.
Step 4
With a 5/32” allen head wrench, hold the UPPER SPRING SCREW in place while turning the UPPER SPRING NUT
with a 7’16” open end wrench. Remove the UPPER SPRING NUT and (2) WASHERS. Pull the worn UPPER
SPRING from the FRAME.
Step 5
Insert the one UPPER SPRING WASHER and UPPER SPRING SCREW into place at the upper hole in the new
UPPER SPRING. Place the UPPER SPRING ASSEMBLY in place on the FRAME and secure with a 5/32” allen
head wrench and a 7’16” open-end wrench.
Step 6
Reverse steps 1 through 5 to return all parts to their proper position.
