STARTING THE UPS ON BATTERY (BLACK START)
1.
As per the above connection diagram, connect only the battery to the
UPS (Ensure that the batteries are in fully charged condition showing
DC voltage greater than 205 VDC for the entire bank).
2.
Switch-on the battery breaker on the rear panel and the front panel
;ON / OFF’ switch. There will be no response from the UPS at this
stage.
3.
Now, gently press the red switch on the rear panel. This is black start
switch which is a push button switch. This will initiate the internal
circuitry of the UPS to start on batteries.
4.
The response seen from the UPS will be that the ‘INVERTER’ LED will
slowly start to glow. The fans will not start at this instant.
Approximately 17 seconds after this operation a clicking sound of the
relay will be heard. The fan will start to operate and output will be
available from the inverter.
IMPORTANT :-
IF THE UPS FAILS TO START BY THE ABOVE
TWO PROCEDURES, THE FIRST LEVEL TROUBLE SHOOTING
WILL BE REQUIRED AS PER THE USER MANUAL.
