The UPS audible alarm should sound intermittently when the UPS is
operating from the battery source.
*
Connect a normal load to the UPS. Turn on the power switch.
Disconnect the input power. Again the audible alarm should sound
intermittently. When the UPS is under the back-up mode, a battery
capacity sensitive beeping indicates the battery power status. It will
beep continuously when low battery status is reached. The UPS will
automatically shut down in one or two minutes to protect the battery
from over discharging under such condition.
CAUTION: The UPS has been provided with a high line transfer circuit
which will cut off the input to the rectifier if it exceeds 275
Volts AC. After initial start-up keep power continuously to
the unit for at least 24 hours to ensure batteries fully
charged. To ensure charging the batteries, the main circuit
breaker and the battery circuit breaker should be left in the
“ON” position. However, the front panel “ON/OFF” switch
can be used as daily run/standby switch. Note that the
output will still be connected to the bypass supply and
inverter will be off.
