Section 2A: Phone Basics
To dial or save phone numbers with pauses:
1.
Enter the phone number.
2.
Scroll to either
Hard Pause
or
2-sec Pause
and
press
. (Hard pauses are displayed as a “P”and
two-second pauses as a “T.”)
3.
Enter additional numbers.
4.
Press
to dial the number.

To save the number in your Contacts list, highlight
Save
and press
.
Using Abbreviated Dialing
Abbreviated Dialing is similar to speed dialing. You can use
either of the following abbreviated dialing features.
Contacts Match
– Retrieve any number saved in your
Contacts by entering only three to six consecutive digits of
the number. Select
Contacts Match
and press
to dial
the retrieved number. (See “Contacts Match”on page 59.)
Prepend
– Prepend the first five or six digits (for example,
the area code and prefix) to any four or five digits you enter.
Press
to dial the resulting number.
Note
When dialing a number with a hard pause, press
TALK
to send
the next set of numbers.
