MAINTENANCE

Cleaning and maintenance

CAUTION

 

Cleaning operations must only be carried out 

when the appliance is completely cool.

 

The appliance should be disconnected from 

your mains supply before commencing any 

cleaning process.

 

Clean the appliance regularly, preferably after 

each use.

Trivets

 

Take off the trivets.

 

Clean these with a damp cloth, washing up 

liquid and warm water. For stubbon soiling, soak 

beforehand.

 

Dry everything with a clean soft cloth.

Control Knobs and Decor Rings

Clean or rinse the control knobs and decor rings by 

using a damp cloth. Use mild soap and water or a 

50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Use clean water 

for rinsing.
The control knob and decor ring may be removed for 

easier cleaning.
Make sure the knobs are in the OFF position and pull 

them straight off the stems for cleaning.

To reinstall the knobs, make sure each the knob has 

the OFF position aligned and slide the knob directly 

onto the valve shaft.

NOTE

 

To prevent mis-operation during cleaning the 

control knobs, Unplug your gas hob.

 

Do not use abrasive cleansers, strong liquid 

cleaners, plastic scouring pads or oven 

cleaners on the control knobs - they can cause 

damage to the finish of the knobs.

 

Do not try to bend knobs by pulling them up 

or down or by hanging a towel or other such 

loads. This can damage the gas valve shaft. 

Top plate

ONLY

 use Ceramic Glass Cleaner. Other creams 

may not be as effective or they might damage the 

surface with scratches or permanent staining.
To maintain and protect the ceramic top plate, follow 

these steps:

Before using the gas hob for the first time, clean 

it with Ceramic Glass Cleaner. This helps protect 

the top and makes cleanup easier.

Daily use of Ceramic Glass Cleaner will help 

keep the gas hob looking new.

Shake the cleaning cream well. Apply a few 

drops of Cleaner directly to the top plate.

Use a paper towel to clean the entire top plate 

surface.

Rinse with clear water and use a dry cloth or 

paper towel to remove all cleaning residue.

NOTE

It is very important that you DO NOT heat the gas 

hob until it has been cleaned thoroughly.

CAUTION

 

DO NOT use scrub pads or abrasive 

cleaning pads.

 They may damage the ceramic 

top plate.

 

For your safety please wear an oven mitt 

potholder while cleaning the hot cooking 

surface.

Cleaning the burned-on residue

Remove burnt-on deposits or spilled food 

from the glass-ceramic cooking surface. 

Use a suitable metal razor scraper held at 

approximately a 30-degree angle to the top 

plate. The scraper will not damage the cooking 

surface.

NOTE

 

Do not use a dull or nicked blade. For your 

safety, please wear an oven mitt potholder 

while using the metal scraper.
