Precautions for the AC/DC Adaptor and Power
WARNING
•
Always connect the power cord to a grounded power point. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock or bodily
injury.
•
Use the product at the rated voltage only. Otherwise, it may cause damage to the product or electric shock.
•
In case of thunder and lightning, unplug the power cable and signal cable. There is a risk of electric shock or
fire.
•
When using a multi-strip, do not use several devices at the same time, and use a product-only multi-strip
with a ground terminal. Otherwise, it may cause fire due to overheating.
•
Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. If the cord pins are wet or dusty, dry or wipe them before use.
There is risk of electric shock.
•
Disconnect the power cord when the product will not be used for a long period of time. Otherwise, dust may
pile up, causing heat, fire, or insulation aging, leading to short circuit, electric shock, or fire.
•
Insert the power plug securely so that it does not come loose. Do not use the product if the power outlet is
loose. If the connection is unstable, it may lead to electric shock or fire.
•
Grasp the plug when removing the power cord. Do not bend the cord excessively. Prevent the power cord
from being pressed by a heavy object. Otherwise, it may cause a damage to an electric wire, leading to
electric shock or fire.
•
Do not insert a conductor such as iron chopsticks into the other side of the power point while the power cord
is inserted into the power point. In addition, do not touch the power cord immediately after it is disconnected
from the power point. It may cause electric shock.
•
The main power blocking device is the power cord, so it should be easily accessible for use.
•
For power cords, use the proper product supplied by the manufacturer or an approved standard product. If
you use a non-standard product, it may result in fire or electric shock.
•
If water or a foreign substance enters the product (power cord or AC/DC adaptor), disconnect the power cord
immediately and contact the manufacturer.
•
Make sure the power cord is fully inserted into the AC/DC adaptor.
•
Take care not to step on or place heavy objects (electronic appliances, clothing, etc.) on the power cord or AC/
DC adaptor. Be careful not to damage the power cord or AC/DC adaptor with sharp objects.
•
Never disassemble, repair or modify the power cord or AC/DC adaptor.
•
If the product is connected to an AC wall outlet, it will not be disconnected from the AC power source even if
you turn off the switch.
CAUTION
•
Do not unplug the power cord when the product is in use. Otherwise, it may cause an electric shock and
damage to the product.
•
Do not turn the monitor on or off by plugging in the power plug or unplugging it from the power point. (Do
not use the power plug as a switch.) It may cause electric shock or malfunction.
•
Remove dust or contaminants around power plug pins or power points. Otherwise, this may result in fire.
•
Keep the power cord away from any heating devices. Otherwise, this may result in fire or electric shock due to
a melted sheath of the cord.
