SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The Safety Precautions are intended to prevent unexpected danger or harm by helping the user to use the
product safely and for its intended purpose.
WARNING
Failure to follow the instructions may result in serious injury or even death.
CAUTION
Failure to follow the instructions may result in minor injury to people or
damage to the product.
Precautions When Installing the Product
WARNING
•
Do not install the product in a damp or dusty area. It may cause electric shock, fire, or damage to the product.
•
If the device emits smoke, strange sounds or smells, unplug the power cable and contact the manufacturer. If
you do not do so, it may cause electric shock or fire.
•
Do not allow any child to hang or ride on the installed product. Children may slip or fall down and get hurt, so
caution them against doing so.
•
Do not leave the power or signal cables lying around in a place that is commonly walked through. If you trip
on the cables, it may cause electric shock, fire, damage to the product, or bodily injury.
•
Keep a desiccant or vinyl packing materials of the product away from children. If a child has eaten such
materials by mistake, immediately let the child vomit and take him or her to a nearby hospital.
•
If the device falls or its casing is damaged, turn off the power and unplug the device. If you do not do so, it
may cause electric shock or fire. Please contact the manufacturer.
•
Do not install the product in any humid place such as a bathroom, a place exposed to rain and wind, or where
water is splashed. It may cause electric shock, fire, or malfunction of the product.
•
Do not put any metallic article such as coins, hairpins, and iron or highly flammable things such as paper and
a match into the product. In particular, prevent children from doing so. Otherwise, this may result in fire or
electric shock. If a foreign substance is put into the product, unplug the device and contact the manufacturer.
•
Do not drop an object onto the product, apply pressure to the product, or throw toys or objects to the screen
of the product. It may cause a bodily injury, malfunction of the product, or damage to the screen of the
product.
•
When cleaning, please use a dry cloth.
•
Do not install the product onto a wall close to sources of oil or oil mist.
CAUTION
•
Keep the device a set distance of 100 mm (3.9 inches) or longer from the wall for proper ventilation.
Otherwise, the internal temperature may increase, leading to deformation or fire.
•
Make sure the air vent is not blocked by a tablecloth or curtain. Otherwise, the internal temperature may
increase, leading to deformation or fire.
•
When installing the product on a display cupboard or a shelf, prevent the end of the bottom surface of the
product from protruding forward. Otherwise, it may cause the product to fall down because of unbalanced
center of gravity, leading to a bodily injury or damage to the product. Use only such a cupboard or shelf that
fits the size of the product.
•
Install the product in a place with no electromagnetic interference.
•
Keep the product away from direct sunlight. There is a risk of damage to the product or fire.
•
Do not install the product in a place with no ventilation such as a bookshelf or a closet, or on a carpet or
sitting cushion. It may cause fire due to an increased internal temperature.
•
Do not install the product where oil or steam may come in contact with the product, such as nearby a
worktop or humidifier. It may result in fire or electric shock.
•
Do not install the product on an unstable place such as on a shaking shelf or inclined surface or a place with
severe vibration. The product may fall down or turn over, leading to a bodily injury. (This requirement is
limited to those products with a stand.)
•
Do not install the product close to hot objects, such as lights.
•
Do not install the product near magnetic field generating equipment, such as transformers or high-voltage
power lines.
