General Safety Information
These indirect gas-fired furnaces are commonly used
in many different manufacturer’s ventilating products.
For unit-specific information, refer to the Installation,
Operation and Maintenance manual (IOM) for the unit in
which this furnace is installed.
• Both the furnace units are listed for installation in the
United States and in Canada.
• Installation of gas-fired duct furnaces must conform
with local building codes. In the absence of local
building codes, installation must conform to the
National Fuel Gas code, ANSI Z223.1 or in Canada,
CAN/CGA-B149 Installation codes.
• All electrical wiring must be in accordance with the
regulations of the National Electric Code, ANSI/
NFPA-70.
• Unit is approved for installation downstream from
refrigeration units. In these conditions, condensate
could form in the duct furnace and provision must be
made to dispose of the condensate.

— Do not store or use gasoline or other
flammable vapors and liquids in the
vicinity of this or any other appliance.
— WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
• Do not try to light any appliance.
• Do not touch any electrical switch; do
not use any phone in your building.
• Leave the building immediately.
• Immediately call your gas supplier from
a phone remote from the building.
Follow the gas supplier’s instructions.
• If you cannot reach your gas supplier,
call the fire department.
— Installation and service must be
performed by a qualified installer, service
agency or the gas supplier.
