Print Test with RIP (Controller Board) Removed
This service mode lets you test and service the printer without the
controller board installed. You can verify that the motors, sensors,
printhead and EP process are working correctly. You can also make
meter measurements on the engine board connectors with the
controller board removed.
The test page consists of horizontal lines spaced approximately one
inch apart down the page.
To run the test:
1. Turn the printer off.
2. Remove the controller board and inner shield.
3. Turn the printer on.
4. Press Select to start the test after Start Print Test displays. The
test is continuous.
5. Press Select once again to stop the test.
Printing Menu Settings Page
Note: This test page must be printed on letter, legal or A4 paper.
To print the Menu Settings Page:
1. Select the TESTS MENU.
2. Select Print Menus from the TESTS MENU.
The page contains the following information:
•
A list of all the printer settings contained in the operator panel
menus and their values.
•
A list of the installed options and features such as RAM memory
cards, optional input paper trays, envelope feeder, duplex unit,
output bins, flash or disk.
•
Printer information such as serial number, page count, installed
RAM, engine code level, RIP code level, envelope feeder code
level, tray 1-5 code levels, output bin 1-3 code levels, operator
panel code levels, font ROM version and SRAM availability.
