Alignment
Each DDLS 170 is equipped with two multifunction displays which can be used to
simplify the alignment process:

Remote multifunction display for coarse adjustment,
·
Close-up multifunction display (bar graph) for fine adjustment.
Coarse adjustment
DDLS 170/xxx.1-xxxx transmits a signal to the DDLS 170/xxx.2-xxxx. The LED indi-
cates the quality of the received signal. When adjusting the DDLS 170/xxx.1-xxxx,
observe the LED on the DDLS 170/xxx.2-xxxx (and vice versa).

Align the DDLS 170/xxx.1-xxxx with the unsprung screws (2) on the adjusting
bracket (8 mm open-end wrench) until the remote multifunction display (1) on
the DDLS 170/xxx.2-xxxx lights up yellow.

Check: The remote multifunction LED displays on both units must light up yellow
for the entire path.
