Out-of-Band Management Interface Configuration
Complete the following steps to configure an out-of-band management IP address
and a default gateway:
1.
Log onto the switch using the serial console port or management port on the
NE1032 front panel.

Enter the management interface configuration mode:

Configure the out-of-band default gateway:
In-Band Management Interface Configuration
Complete the following steps to configure an in-band management IP address over
an SVI interface and an associated default gateway:
1.
Log onto the switch using the serial console port or management port on the
NE1032 front panel.

Enter the SVI interface configuration mode:

Configure the in-band management IP address:

Configure the in-band default gateway:

NE1032# configure device
NE1032(config)# interface mgmt 0
NE1032(config-if)#
NE1032(config-if)# ip address 10.254.87.6/24
NE1032(config-if)# exit
NE1032(config)#
NE1032(config)# vrf context management
NE1032(config-vrf)# ip route 0.0.0.0/0 205.21.17.1
