M.2 solid-state drive
Attention:
Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the “Read
this first: Important safety information” on page iii.
To install or replace an M.2 solid-state drive, do the following:
1. Prepare your computer. See “Preparing your computer and removing the computer cover” on page 55.
2. Lay the computer on its side for easier access to the system board.
3. Depending on whether you are installing or replacing an M.2 solid-state drive, do one of the following:
• If you are replacing an M.2 solid-state drive, do the following:
a. Locate and remove the M.2 solid-state drive adapter. See “PCIe card” on page 57.
