Replacing a memory module

To replace a memory module, do the following:

1. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer. Wait

three to five minutes to let the computer cool.

2. Close the computer display, and turn it over.

3. Remove the battery. See “Replacing the battery” on page 69.

4. Loosen the screws

5. Open the latches on both sides of the slot at the same time

, and then remove the memory module

Save the removed memory module for future use.
