Hazardous voltage, current, and energy levels are present inside any component that has this label
attached. There are no serviceable parts inside these components. If you suspect a problem with
one of these parts, contact a service technician.
Before you begin, print all the related instructions or ensure that you can view the PDF version on another
computer for reference.
Note:
Use any documentation that comes with the new power distribution board and follow those
instructions in addition to the instructions in this topic.
To replace the power distribution board, do the following:
1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the storage product. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to
the storage product.
2. Prepare your storage product. See “Removing or extending the storage product from the rack cabinet”
on page 51.
3. Remove the storage product cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 51.
4. Disconnect the power cables from the power distribution board.
5. Remove the cooling shroud. See “Removing and reinstalling the cooling shroud” on page 54.
6. Remove the system fan cage with system fans. See “Removing and reinstalling the system fan cage”
on page 59.
7. Record the component locations, cable connections, and cable routing in the storage product.
8. Remove the two riser card assemblies. See “Replacing the riser card” on page 68.
9. Remove the PCIe cards installed on the system board. See “Removing a PCIe card from the system
board” on page 82.
10. Remove the rear backplane/cage assembly. See “Removing the rear backplane/cage assembly” on
page 115.
11. Remove the AnyFabric adapter if one is installed. See “Removing the AnyFabric adapter” on page 92.
