5 Removal and disposal
5.1 Removing the MiniCODER
If a functional MiniCODER is to be removed for a modification, pay attention to the
following:
– Ensure the sensitive measuring surface does not come into contact with other
objects to prevent damage.
– Only touch connector pins and connection wires if your body is suitably earthed,
for example via an ESD wrist strap, to prevent damage to the electronic compo-
nents by electrostatic discharge.
 GEL 2444KxP (MiniCODER plus): If available use the GEL 211 Testing and pro-
gramming unit to reset the MiniCODER to its factory setting.
 Disconnect the connection to the MiniCODER.

Release the connection cable from fixing points.
 Undo and remove the fastening screws for the MiniCODER.

Take the MiniCODER out of the mounting.
 If the MiniCODER is to be used again, store it in the original packaging or an equiv-
alent container with protection.
5.2 Disposal

Dispose of a faulty MiniCODER in accordance with regional regulations for electrical
and electronic equipment.
