4.2 Mounting MiniCODER
4.2.1 Cleaning mounting surfaces
 GEL 244x: Thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces on the machine and on the
MiniCODER as well as the mounting screws to obtain good electrical conductivity.

Ensure the measuring scale and space where the device is installed are free of
contamination and chips from machining.
4.2.2 Mounting

MiniCODER with screen connection cable:
The screen connection cable can be mounted separately (1, recommended)
or at the sensor (2):

If the cable is used for earthing at the sensor, shorten it to 35 to 40 mm, fit a
cable lug to it and in the next step clamp it under the fastening screw instead
of the washer.
► MiniCODER with screen plate:
Fit the screen plate to the MiniCODER.
► Fit 2 screws M4 with spring washers and washers in the slots on the flange.
► Place the distance gauge in the space where the device is to be installed on
the target wheel.
