Route wiring and install electrical components
in the order described in this section.
1. Route fireplace wiring.
(See Figures 42 and 43)
Note: The electronic appliance must be
connected to the main power supply.
1.1. Route a 3-wire, 120V AC, 60 Hz, 1ph
power supply (not provided) to the appli-
ance junction box.
Note: The junction box can be moved
to the bottom of the box or to the right
side (see
Figure 44
). To move the j-box
remove the cover plate, compress junc-
tion box to release it from the fireplace.
Select the new location. For the bottom
location. Install the 3 wire 120V AC sup-
ply wire and strain relief in the hole pro-
vided. Connect the wires as shown in
Figure 42
. Reinstall the junction box by
compressing the sides, then place the
small flange of the Junction box in the
small slot. Place the larger flange into
the larger slot and release. Replace
the cover on the original junction box
location.
1.2. Remove the electrical inlet cover plate
from the back of the unit by removing
the plate’s securing screws. The junction
box can be moved to the bottom of the
fireplace for bottom electrical entry.
1.3. Remove the cover plate knockout; then
feed the power supply wire through the
knockout opening and into the unit junc-
tion box.
1.4. Connect the black power supply wire to
the power outlet’s red pigtail lead and the
white power supply wire to the common
terminal of the outlet
.
1.5. Connect the ground supply wire to the
pigtail lead attached to the outlet’s green
ground screw.
1.6. After wiring is complete, replace the
cover plate.
