Check turning direction
Before starting the compressor for the first time, check rota-
tion direction (see the rotary direction arrow on the housing
of the electric motor).
If the direction of rotation is wrong, the guide pistons of the
2nd and 3rd stages can not be sufficiently lubricated, with
the consequence that the pistons will be damaged. Further-
more, cooling air flow will not be sufficient.

Wrong impeller rotation direction!
Immediately after switching the compressor on, check rotation direction. Depending on
the place of installation, the phase sequence can influence the rotation direction.

Phase Monitoring
With this option the direction of rotation is controlled by a
phase monitoring system during the operation.
If the compressor is incorrectly connected the power supply
does not allow to start the machine. Is this the case the red
warning lamp will indicate the problem. A changing of the
direction of rotation is inevitable then.
Another advantage is the control during the operation. In
case of dissolving a phase, the compressor will shut-down
automatically. The red warning lamp will indicate to this af-
ter shut-down directly.
