1 INTRODUCTION

The LELY HIBISCUS 485 P (fig. 1) is a pull type, single cam rake
for side delivery. The machine has 1 rotor with 13 tine arms, each
equipped with 4 double tines.
The tines give a clean sweep and move the grass to left hand side in
an airy windrow.

The HIBISCUS 485 P rake is fitted with a trailer carriage so that the
machine need not be carried by the tractor. This facility makes it
possible to operate the machine in combination with a light tractor.
This allows for the machine to continue raking operations even
when turns are made.

The tandem axle wheel assembly ensures an excellent raking
operation of this rake also when working in undulating fields. The
lift system, which is integrated into the wheel assembly, provides
much clearance in the headland position as well as in the transport
position.

2 LINKAGE TO THE TRACTOR

- Adjust the draw bar eye at the correct height for the tractor by

means of the parking jack.

- Couple the machine to the tractor; use a solid pin and secure it

carefully.

- Turn up the parking jack and place it in the storage place (fig. 2).

- Check if the PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.

- Fit the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO.

At first assembly or use of another tractor: check the minimum
and maximum overlap of the PTO shaft halves

- Fit the safety chain of the protection tube to a rigid part of the

tractor.

- Connect the hydraulic hoses to a double acting hydraulic tractor

valve with floating position.
Maximum allowed oil pressure: 21.0 MPa (210 bar).

- Put the plug of the lighting cable in the tracor socket and

check the lighting for correct operation.
