If some crop is left in the middle behind the machine (fig. 15), the
draw bar ramshould be shortened until the crop material is taken up
effectively.
In case the crop is not effectively taken up on the sides (fig. 16), the
draw bar ram has to be extended whilst -if need be- the height
adjustment or cam track should be corrected.
5.2
Forward speed and PTO speed
Select a forward speed and PTO output (450-500 r.p.m., max.
540 r.p.m.) which ensures a good and clean windrow.
If the rotor speed is too high there is the risk of crop not being
released soon enough by the tines so that lumps of material are
scattered behind the machine. If so, reduce the PTO speed.
Lower the forward speed when the clutch is engaged as a result of
overload.
