4. Setting Up and Connecting

4.  Setting Up and Connecting

First, carefully remove all components from the 
transportation and packaging materials.

 Caution!

Do not yet connect the microscope, the Leica 
STP6000 and peripherals to the power supply 
at this point!

 Caution!

Electrical components must be placed at least 
10 cm away from the wall and away from 
fl ammable substances.

Microscope (USB) connection

•  Connect the provided power supply unit to the 

power supply connection of the Leica STP6000 
(1.2). Tighten the retaining ring to secure the 
plug connection.

•  Connect the  USB terminal of the stand to the 

USB connection (1.5).

•  After all connections have been made, connect 

the power supply unit of the Leica STP6000 to 
the main power connection.

•  Switch on the microscope as usual.

•  After initialization, switch on the Leica STP6000 

using the on/off switch (1.1).
