The image on the monitor is too dark.
The video camera and/or monitor is/are not set

Filter/diaphragm is set incorrectly.

Adjust the brightness or change the filter/
diaphragm.
The photos are unsharp.
The parfocality of the microscope is not set
properly.

Specimen is out of focus.
The specimen is not precisely focused.
