STARTING AND STOPPING 

CAUTION! Do not start the motor 
without first of all correctly installing 
the Pruner Attachment (see 
paragraph 4 Fitting) (refer to Brush 
cutter manual. Same conditions 

apply) 

STARTING THE ENGINE 

1)

 

Position the hedge trimmer in a safe starting 

position. 
2)

 

Rest the motor on the ground and arrange 

the equipment so that the chain does not touch 
the ground or any other object (we suggest rest-
ing it on a trunk, a piece of wood or on a raised 
part of the ground) see fig.12. 
3)

 

Remove the chain guard. 

4)

 

Get into a stable position. 

5)

 

With the left hand, push hard the equipment 

on the ground. 
6)

 

Do not rest the foot or the knee onto the shaft. 

7)

 

Start the engine as shown in the Brush 

Cutter manual (fig. 24). 

IMPORTANT - HAZARD !! The 
engine starts and remains half 
accelerated and so the chain is 

moving. Leave the motor to run for a few 
seconds for heating. 
Operate the trigger once to run the motor at 
minimum and then stop the cutting chain. 

IMPORTANT - HAZARD !! If the chain 
does not stop at minimum motor 
speed, contact an after-sales center 

(refer to Brushcutter manual). 

STOPPING THE ENGINE 

1) 

To stop the engine, move the switch (fig. 25 

item 1) to the “OFF” position.
