Operation of the S330 Software Tool

The User’s interface tool is a standalone executable program that does not have to be installed. Copy the tool

onto the desktop or in a folder on the PC. Run the tool and it will open to the main screen.

To connect a S330, press the Connect button and the tool will search for a sensor connected to a COM port.

Once found, the tool will read the sensor configuration, start measuring, and the Setup Settings button will
become active. (See Figure 8)

Main Window

Once the tool has found a sensor it will populate the bottom half of the window with sensor information and

current loop boundaries, and start the sensor measuring. If connecting to a sensor at an installation site, when
loop boundaries are configured, the tool will display actual distances to surface and tank liquid level. In addition,

the tool will calculate what the loop current should be and the returning power intensity of the laser. Following
are the descriptions of each field (See Figures 9, 10 and 11).
