5.2.2 ASCII data type

In this mode the numeric value will be sent in ASCII code. An advantage of this mode is

that it allows you to send control commands, to intermittency a certain value, as well as select the
color of the digits in the displays with color option.

In the

ASCII

format, as many bytes as digits will be sent in the viewer plus the control

commands that are used, up to a maximum of 20 bytes that is the limit of the assigned internal
buffer.

In this mode, the first byte of the Profinet frame corresponds to the rightmost digit of the

visualizer. Thus, the sequence of bytes will be represented in the digits, in this order:

1.  Configuring Display Parameters

Through the keys of the equipment, we enter the menu, and we will configure the parameter

1

, with the value

05

The remaining parameters shall be configured in accordance with paragraph 0

2.  Sending the message character sequence over the Profinet network

The  numeric  value  of  each  digit  will  be  encoded  in  ASCII  and  sent  in  the  sequence

mentioned  above.  Valid  characters  include  some  alphanumeric  characters  that  can  be
represented in digits of 7 segments. The valid characters accepted by the viewer are as follows:
