5.2 Work operation
As mentioned above, this viewer can work with numeric and text data types (ASCII). If
you work in ASCII there are control commands available that allow you to put a data in flicker and
change the color of the digit in visualizers with this option. We will detail how it is configured and
operated in each of the working modes.
5.2.1 Numeric data type
We have FLOAT and WORD type (with sign and without sign).
In the
FLOAT
format, 6 bytes must be sent. The first 4 correspond to the value of the
data, and the last two to the position of the decimal point, encoded according to Table 1.
in
word format
only 2 bytes of the data will be sent.
To work with the different numeric types, we will follow the following steps.
1. Configuring display parameters
Through the keys of the computer, we enter the menu and adjust the parameter 1
according to the type of data that you want to work.
Parameter 2 must be set to the value "10" (PROFINET)
If you want to set a time to warn that no data has been received, configure parameter 3
according to the values in the table section 4.2.3.3.
For displays with color option, see the section 4.2.3.4 for color configuration.
