CIRCUIT BREAKER REMOVAL

HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, BURN, OR EXPLOSION

WARNING:

 

MAKE SURE POWER IS TURNED 

OFF

 BEFORE STARTING THE 

INSTALLATION OR PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE.

 

 

1. Apply appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safe electrical work practices.

2. This equipment must be installed and serviced only by qualified electrical personnel.

3. Turn off all power supplying this equipment before working on or inside equipment.

4. Always use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm power is off.

5. Replace all devices, doors and covers before turning on power to this equipment.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN DEATH OR SEVERE INJURY

1. Turn off all power supplying this equipment before working on or inside equipment.

2. Remove circuit breaker in reverse order of installation.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If problems occur during installation, refer to the following guide. If trouble persists, contact Larson Electronics.

Circuit breaker fails to stay closed.

Circuit breaker trips, but no short circuit
or overload is evident.

Push-to-trip button will not trip circuit breaker.

Condition

1. Undervoltage trip not energized.
2. Shunt trip energized.
3. Short circuit or overload on system.

System voltage below undervoltage trip setting.

Circuit breaker already tripped.

Possible Causes

1. Energize undervoltage trip.
2. De-energize shunt trip.
3. Check system for short circuit or overload.

Circuit breaker already tripped.

1. Move circuit breaker handle to reset then to ON
2. Press push-to-trip button.

Solution

OTHER SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Check area where circuit breaker is installed for any safety hazards including personnel safety and fire hazards.

Exposure to certain types of chemicals can cause deterioration of electrical connections.
