Standard CMOS Setup
When you select the “STANDARD CMOS SETUP” on the main program, the screen display will appears as:

Standard CMOS Setup options are displayed by choosing the Standard field from the AMIBIOS HIFLEX SETUP
menu. All Standard Setup options are described below.
Date:
This allows you to set the system to the date that you want (usually the current date). The format is
<day><month><date><year>.
Day
Day of the week, from Sun to Sat, determined by BIOS. Read-only.
Month
The month from Jan. through Dec.
Date
The date from 1 to 31 can be keyed by numeric function keys.
Year
The year can be adjusted by users.
Time:
This allows you to set the system time that you want (usually the current time). The time format is
<hour><minute><second>.
Pri Master/ Pri Slave:
Press PgUp/<+> or PgDn/<-> to select the hard disk drive type. The specification of
hard disk drive will show up on the right hand according to your selection.
Type
Type of the device.
Size
Capacity of the device.
Cyln
Number of cylinders.
Head
Number of heads.
WPcom
Write precompensation cylinder.
Sec
Number of sectors.
Mode
Access mode.
Floppy Drive A, B:
Choose the Floppy Drive A or B field to specify the floppy drive type. The settings are

Boot Sector Virus Protection:
The item is to set the Virus Warning feature for IDE Hard Disk boot sector
protection. When

, BIOS will issue a virus warning message and beep if a write to the boot sector or
the partition table of the HDD is attempted. Setting options:

Note:
This feature only protects the boot sector, not the whole hard disk.
