Advanced Fax Operation
REDIAL WAITING is displayed. The unit will wait for the time interval to redial,
you can press "Stop" key to cancel the transmission, but your machine would not
print out an error report. In Direct transmission mode, if the redials all fail, your
machine would not print out an error report.
Redial the Same Destination (Redial TX)
Redial TX would display the destination that the machine has previously dialed, but not connected
to. The following two sub-features are available.

Auto Redial
•
Manual Redial
Auto Redial
If the line is busy, the machine temporarily stops dialing. Several seconds later, it dials the number
again. This redialing sequence is repeated several times.
Manual Redial
The last dialed is redial by pressing the Redial/Pause key.

Auto Redial has been factory-set, you do not need to set it.
•
Redial interval time and the number of redials depend on the country in which
the machine is used. Consult with your Lanier Service Technician for more
details.
Example: Using the Manual Redial

Place the document into the Document Feed Tray.

Press the Redial/Pause key, and the message “TX=START” is displayed.

If the destination is correctt, press the "Start" key to start transmission.

The machine starts to feed the documents, and redialing this fax number.
•
When the line is connected the machine starts the transmission.

If you want to stop the transmission, press the "Stop" key, and then the "Yes" key.
•
After you canceled a transmission, the “TX RESULT REPORT’ is printed.

When the transmission is complete, the display shows “TX COMPLETE.
Note: Redialing is not possible if the last transmission was a Broadcast or Group
Transmission to multiple destinations.
