3-20 REMOTE CONTROL (OPTION)
3-20.1
The wired remote control plugs into an
electrical receptacle usually located on the
hydraulic control panel. Optional receptacle
locations are on the rear street side or both
rear street and rear curb sides. The wired re-
mote is available as a single, dual, or triple
function.
3-20.2
A wireless radio remote control is also
available as a dual, triple, or quadruple func-
tion.
3-20.3
The single function wired remote oper-
ates the
WINCH HYDRAULIC LEVER (See
Section 3-14.1).
3-20.4
The dual function wired remote oper-
ates the winch in/out and winch tension: or
the tail and dock level.
a.
The selector switch at the top of the remote
box selects the function to be operated
(
WINCH HYDRAULIC and WINCH TEN-
SIONER, or TAIL CONTROL and DOCK
LEVEL ARM ).
b.
The two buttons will function like the control
levers for the
WINCH HYDRAULIC (See Sec-
tion 3-14.1), WINCH TENSIONER (See Sec-
tion 3-14.2), TAIL CONTROL (See Section
3-9,) or DOCK LEVEL ARM (See Section
3-15.3).
3-20.5
The triple function wired remote oper-
ates the winch in/out, tail, and either the
dock level or winch tension.
a.
There are three switches which function like
the control levers for the
WINCH HYDRAU-
LIC (See Section 3-14.1), TAIL CONTROL
(See Section 3-9), DOCK LEVEL ARM (See
Section 3-15.3), or WINCH TENSIONER
(See Section 3-14.2).
3-20.6
A wireless radio remote control is a tri-
ple function
(See Figure 3-11).
3-20.7
The remote operates any of the hydrau-
lic functions that are desired. The remote
components are connected to the hydraulic
valve section that the remote is desired to
operate. The electrical switches operate the
functions of the hydraulic spool valve instead
of operating the control levers on the valve.
IMPORTANT
ON WINCHES WITH THE AIR TENSION OPTION,
THE WINCH TENSION IS ENGAGED AUTO-
MATICALLY WHEN THE SWITCH IS TURNED
TO
WINCH
IN/OUT.
THE
WINCH
TENSION
SWITCH ON EITHER THE REMOTE OR THE
CONTROL PANEL MUST BE USED TO DISEN-
GAGE THE WINCH.
