If powered load is secured to both tail
and lower deck, attention is required before
lowering tail deck. Adjust load securing de-
vices to allow tail to tilt and sufficiently se-
cure load from movement while tail is tilted to
low load angle.

Before
returning
the
semitrailer
to
transport position insure that there is suffi-
cient distance between the load and the rear
of the semitrailer so that the semitrailer does
not hit the load when being folded back to
transport position.
CAUTION
BEFORE RETURNING THE SEMI-
TRAILER TO TRANSPORT POSITION,
INSURE THAT THERE IS SUFFICIENT
DISTANCE BETWEEN THE LOAD AND
THE REAR OF THE SEMITRAILER.

move undercarriage rearward to transport
position. Hold
TAIL/AXLE CONTROL LE-
VER
in the transport position until hydraulic
system works against the fully extended Hy-
draulic Axle Cylinder (Approximately 15-30
seconds).

Reel in winch cable and secure hook
on upper deck.

Shut down hydraulic power system. If
hydraulic engine package is installed, shut
down the auxiliary hydraulic power engine

3-13 WORK LIGHT SWITCH (OPTION)
The
WORK LIGHT SWITCH
is on the hydrau-
lic control panel
(See Figure 3-3)
. It illuminates the
hydraulic control panel and controls the optional
work lights mounted on the bulkhead. The work
lights illuminate the upper deck.
