E6 USING ADDITIONAL LENSES
Additional thermal lenses available for use with the
FTI 6
are listed below:
Mag 2.5x
Mag 1x (Closeup)
Mag 0.4x
Mag 0.25x
NOTE
Thermal lenses are used in conjunction with matched TV lens and
both MUST be replaced together.
E6.1 Changing a lens
The
FTI 6
automatically senses each lens fitted and compensates for it when
calculating temperatures.
If the
FTI 6
is fitted in the Environmental Enclosure, the dummy lens hood must
be fitted. The dummy hood contains the transmission information for
compensating for the enclosure window.
To replace a lens:
(i) Unscre
w the lens/lens hood if fitted (refer to Fig. E16).
(ii) Fit the appropria
te lens to be used.
NOTE
Hand tighten only, over tightening may damage the lens.
