Top Drive Sprocket Torquing
Refer to Figure 1-11:
Tighten nylock jam nut all the way down until sprocket is
bottomed out on bearing, refer to Figure 1-11. Back jam
nut out until you can install .015" feeler gauge between
sprocket and jam nut. Tighten jam nut up against feeler
gauge until snug. Pull feeler gauge out and tighten jam
nut 1/6 of a turn.

NOTE: The input shaft on gearbox should turn using
hand pressure.
IMPORTANT:
Over-tightening the jam nut will cause
damage to the bearing.
