gauge on the burner.
g. Is there a good spark? The spark should be at least ½-inch long and shoot
out over the end of the spray nozzle. Check for spark through the viewport
window during an ignition attempt. Remove the window and clean if
necessary.
h. Are the oil preheaters working properly? With the thermostat unplugged so
the burner will not attempt to start, carefully open the burner cover and feel the
nozzle block to make sure it is hot.
i. Do unauthorized persons have access to the system? Have the controls been
tampered with? Check factory settings (start up, Section 5).
