If you use pressurized water, do not splash water directly on limit switches, connectors or battery
fuses.
8.
Perform a visual inspection for leaks or wear in the hopper area.
9.
Open the clean-out door on each side of the hopper (see Figure 4-13).
10.
Rake small pieces of garbage out of the clean-out traps using the hoe.

Finish cleaning the area with pressurized water.
When using pressurized water, do not splash water directly on limit switches, connectors or
battery fuses.
12.
Retract the arm alongside the hopper.
Make sure the right-hand side clean-out door is closed before retracting the arm.
13.
Put back the tailgate safety prop to its stored position.
14.
Fully retract the packer using the yellow push-button on the packer control station, then fully
close the tailgate using the Tailgate Down switch on the multiplexed switch actuator module.
15.
Put the safety pins back in place.
Interlock Systems
Different interlock systems have been installed on the M
INIMAX
TM
to avoid possible injuries and to
prevent components from colliding with each other.
Crusher Panel Interlock
The optional crusher panel is to be used only for bulky items. Bulky items can be crushed down with
the crusher panel while the packer pushes them in the body. In order to enable the crusher panel, the
packer must be fully retracted.
To operate the crusher panel, refer to “Crusher Panel Down Switch (optional)” on page 68 and
“Crusher Panel Up Switch (optional)” on page 69.
