10.0 DIGITAL I/O OPTION
DIGITAL INPUT
Selects between either Analogue or Digital inputs.
DIGITAL OUTPUT SR:
Use to select the digital output sample rate. Choices are -
1. Fixed sample rates of 44.1kHz, 48kHz or 96kHz
2. Synchronising the output sample rate to an external Word Clock
3. Synchronising the output sample rate to the Digital input.
Option 1. will normally be used in stand-alone applications e.g. where the
digEQ is used to convert between Digital input and Analogue output.
Options 2. & 3. should be used when the DPF3103 is used with other digital
equipment where sample rate synchronisation needs to be maintained.
Examples of this include -
Analogue input to DPF3103 and digital out to an external digital unit.
In this case the output sample rate of the digEQ can be synchronised to
the Word Clock of the external unit.
•
Connect the 'Word Clock out' of the external unit to the 'Word Clock
in' of the digEQ.
•
Press
UTILITY
button
•
Select 'Digital Output SR:'
•
Using
DATA WHEEL
select 'Word Clock'
Digital input to the DPF3103
When Digital Input is selected, UTILITY > Source Select: > Digital, the
DPF3103 automatically synchronises to the incoming digital signal.
10.3 FITTING THE DIGITAL I/O MODULE
Note: This module will only function with software issue DGQ600 and higher.
BEFORE YOU START:
•
Disconnect the mains supply
•
Do take ESD precautions
•
Don't touch components on any of the printed circuit boards
•
Hold the Digital I/O module by the edges only.
PROCEDURE:
•
Remove the six M2.5 or M3 countersunk screws securing the cover of the
DPF3103
