Gas Hose Assembly
Using Barbed Fitting
(must be ordered separately)
1. Use pipe thread compound at all threaded connections.
2. Connect the rigid end of hose to gas line of building and
tighten securely.
3. Thread the barbed
fi
tting to the 1/8 in NPT gas inlet of
the safety control valve. Tighten securely.
4. Slide the hose clamp over the hose end and push the
hose
fi
rmly on to the barbed
fi
tting.

Using High/Low Variable Rate Valve Kit
(must be ordered separately)
1. Use pipe thread compound at all threaded connec-
tions.
2. Assemble the kit to the inlet of the heater’s safety
control valve as shown. Tighten all connections
securely.
3. Thread the barbed
fi
tting to the 1/8 in NPT nipple in
the kit.
4. Slide the hose clamp over the hose end and push the
hose
fi
rmly on to the barbed
fi
tting.
4. Securely tighten the hose clamp over the hose and
onto the barbed
fi
tting.
5. Connect the rigid end of hose (with hose adapter) to
gas line of building.
6. Open the fuel supply to the heater and check for gas
leaks with approved leak detectors.

5. Securely tighten the hose clamp over the hose
and onto the barbed

tting.
6. Open the fuel supply to the heater and check for
gas leaks with approved leak detectors.
