Setting the symbol rate
The bandwidths 400 kHz, 800 kHz, 1.6 MHz, 3.2 MHz and 6.4 MHz are defined in DOCSIS
Standard. These correspond to the symbol rates 320 kBd, 640 kBd, 1,280 kBd, 2,560 kBd and
5,120 kBd. This setting can be carried out via the
SYMBOLRATE
menu item if modulation is
activated.

Saving Profile settings
The settings made are saved in the current used profile using the
SAVE
menu item.
10.1.4
Transmitting
The message “Booting...” appears on the screen while the corresponding module is booting. When
this process is completed, “Ready” appears on the screen and the carrier(s) can be activated via
the
TRANSMIT.
menu item. The status then changes to “Transmitting...”
Important! Before transmitting in the return range, ensure that if a DOCSIS system is
active (like modems) avoid using frequencies which are occupied by the
DOCSIS systems. Otherwise those devices can be disturbed by the Upstream
Generator. Also observe the used bandwidths.
The menu item is displayed inverted during transmission. Select the
TRANSMIT.
menu item again
to stop transmission.
