Machine Description
The
990-F4
is generally part of a system that includes an automatic door feeder and door loader to
provide a full door processing system.
See “Typical Production Line” on page 2-4
for a typical
machine line setup. This manual will focus on the
990-F4
The 990-F4 Process Summary
• Cut a hinge pocket on a door and jamb (Carriage Assembly)
• Drill pilot holes for the hinge screws (Carriage Assembly)
• Apply hinges.(Six Shooter)
• Attach the hinges with screws (Six Shooter)
• Cut a lock and lock plate (Back Section)
Machine Orientation
The
Front Section
refers to the side of the machine with the operator’s station, and includes the
three Six-Shooter heads, the front router motors, and the pre-drills.
The
Back Section
refers to side of the machine that routs the faceplate, bores the lock, and drills
for the bolt.
In-Feed:
The end of the machine (and its respective parts) that receives incoming doors
Out-Feed:
The end of the machine (and its respective parts) that feeds out the completed door
