The cooker hood may only be connected
to an AC 230 V ~ 50 Hz safety plug
socket installed according to
regulations.
The electronics system must be in
accordance with VDE 0100.
In order to make the appliance safer, the
GEF (German Electrotechnology Feder-
ation), in its DIN VDE 0100 part 739
guideline, recommends that the appli-
ance be connected in series with an FI
protective circuit breaker with a releas-
ing current of 30 mA (DIN VDE 0664).
It is recommended that connection be
carried out by means of a wall socket,
since this facillitates customer service (in
accordance with VDE 0701).
Please ensure that the socket is
accessible when the appliance has been
installed.
Should the socket not be accessible
subsequent to installation or should fixed
installation be intended, a separating
device must be available on installation
for each terminal. Switches with a
contact opening of at least 3 mm. are
suitable as separating devices.
These include high-voltage switches,
safety fuses and contactors (EN 60335).
The required connection data can be
found on the identification plate, which
can be seen when the grease filter has
been removed.
Please check to ensure that these
details comply with the voltage and
frequency of the mains.
The following also applies for Austria
Connection may only be made to an
electrical system designed in accord-
ance with the AEF-EN1 (Austrian Elec-
trotechnology Federation) system.
In order to enhance safety, the AEF
recommends that the appliance be
connected in series with an FI protective
circuit breaker with a releasing current of
30 mA (AEF-SN 50).
