– The exhaust air duct should be as
short and as straight as possible.
– The diameter of the exhaust air duct
should not be less than 125 mm.
Reduce the diameter of the exhaust
air duct only in an extreme case, for
example if the exhaust air duct is
already available.
– Only use bends with a large radius. A
small radius will diminish the air
performance of the cooker hood.
– Use only smooth pipes or flexible ex-
haust air hoses made of non-combus-
tible material for the exhaust air duct.
– If the exhaust air duct is laid
horizontally, a minimum incline of
1 cm per metre must be maintained.
This will prevent any condensation
water which may occur from running
into the hood.
– If the exhaust air is to be directed out-
side, we would recommend installing
a telescopic built-in wall-box.
– If the exhaust air is to be directed into
an exhaust air flue, the lead-in tube
must be laid in the direction of the air
flow.
Risk of contamination!
It is essential that the section “Safety
Instructions and Warnings” be
observed.
Always have the master chimney
sweep responsible for your region
confirm the safe operation of the
appliance.
Using exhaust air ducts with a diam-
eter of less than 125 mm or using
flat exhaust air ducts could result in
louder noises on operation and also
reduce the suction performance of
the cooker hood.
