Nozzle flow
The values indicated by the control box depend
on the flowmeter and pressure gauge.
Ensure that lightings and signallings are clean
and in good working order.
For models fitted with DPM regulation:
and
For models fitted with DPME regulation (output
proportional to the engine speed):
- Rinse the spraying circuit.
- Clean the filters.
- Clean the nozzles.
- Check condition of the anti-drips.
- Fill the main tank to half its capacity with clean
water.
- Check the type of nozzle. The nozzles must be
identical.
- Select on the nozzle flow chart, the theoretical
flow value of a nozzle, for a pressure of 3 bar
(44 psi).
- Switch to stationary spraying mode.
- Open spraying.
- Adjust pressure to 3 bar (44 psi).
- Place a test tube underneath the nozzle.
- Wait for 10 seconds.
- Measure the volume collected in the test tube.
- Calculate the nozzle output. The nozzle output
equals the volume collected in the tube divided
by the spraying time (10 seconds).
- If the difference between the theoretical nozzle
output and the measured output exceeds 10%,
replace the nozzle.
- Repeat procedures for each nozzle.
- Shut-off spraying.
