3° MOUNTING OF THE ROTOR LOCK CONNECTING RODS
- Fit the short connecting rod (Q) on the crank (L) of the left guard and on the lower crank (R) of the rotor lock by
means of 2 split pins (E) (diameter 4 x 22) (photo 5).
- In the same way, fit the long connecting rod (S) on the crank (L) of the right guard and on the upper crank (T) of
the rotor lock by means of 2 split pins (E) (diameter 4 x 22) (photo 6).
4° FITTING SWATH SCREEN
- Put the 4 plastic bushes into their housings on the 2 parallelogram adjustment arms (U) of the swath screen.
- Fit the swath screens parallelogram adjustment (U) on the 2 pivot pins (V) using 2 roll pins (W) (diameter 6
x 36) and 2 flat washers (diameter 25 x 35 x 2), inserting washers between the roll pins (W) and the parallelogram
arm (U) (photo 7).
- Fit swath screen (X) on support (Y) into one of the vertical adjustment positions by means of 2 hexagonal bolts
(Z) (M 10 x 30), 2 self-locking nuts (M 10) and 2 flat washers (diameter 10.4 x 24 x 4) (photo 7), inserting washers
between swath board (X) and support (Y).
5° FITTING TINES, TINE ARM HOLDERS AND TINE ARMS
- First slide tine arms (A) into their holders (B) and attach using linch pins (C) (photo 8).
- Attach the small loop of PVC cord (D) to linch pin (C) then connect the big loop into bracket hole (E) on tine arm
(A) (photo 8).
- Then fit holders (B) onto the oscillating shafts and attach using roll pins (F) (diameter 12 x 55 and diameter 7 x
55) (photo 8).
Fit the tine arms (A) onto the oscillating shafts making sure that the bent form of the arms
faces forwards when looking in the direction of rotor rotation
(see arrow on photo 8).
ATTENTION
: Make sure that the roll pins are fitted 180° to each other and that the slots are facing the direction
of rotation (see drawing on photo 8).
Clean and regularly apply a "Never Seize" component to the removable portion of the tine
arms (A) (photo 8) (see also page 22).
- Fit tines (G) under tine arms (A) so that tines are slanting away from the direction of rotation (see arrow on
photo 9).
- The following items are needed to fit a tine : 1 screw (H) (M 12 x 75), 1 self-locking nut (
I
) (M 12) (torque
8.5 daNm / 6 ft.lbs), 1 flat washer (J) (13 x 35 x 7), 1 spring washer (K), 1 wedge (L).
Make sure all items are positioned correctly, as shown on photo 9, in particular the spring washer (K) (curved face
looking upwards).
