WORK POSITION - ADJUSTMENTS
During operation, the tractor linkage must always be in the free floating position and the transport lock of the 3-
point frame must be unlocked (lock V, photo 10, page 15). Raking height is correct when tines lightly sweep the
ground in front of the machine with tine arms kept horizontal to the ground.
BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY OPERATION SUCH AS MAINTENANCE OR ADJUSTMENT
ON THE MACHINE, STOP THE TRACTOR ENGINE, REMOVE IGNITION KEY AND WAIT
FOR THE ROTOR TO STOP BEFORE LEAVING THE TRACTOR.
1° WHEEL HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT :
The adjusting system for wheel height consists of :
- a vertical sector (A) with 7 holes,
- a pin operated by lever (B) (photo 15).
The housing of axle (D) has four notches on its outer side which correspond to holes 1, 3, 5 and 7 of sector (A). The
three spaces between the notches correspond to holes 2, 4 and 6 (photo 16).
Spring dowel (C) is used as a marker for wheel height adjustment (photo 16).
Initially, it is recommended to engage the pin in the fifth hole of sector (A).
Wheel height adjustment is carried out as follows :
- Raise the machine.
- Free the pin of vertical sector (A) using lever (B) (photo 17).
- Raise or lower each wheel by one or more holes (positions 1 to 7, photo 16).
- Put the machine back on the ground.
- Adjust the working position by lengthening or shortening the tractor top link.
NOTE
: After each wheel height adjustment make sure that the pin is fully engaged in its housing on the vertical
sector.
2° SWATH SCREEN ADJUSTMENT
a) Sideways adjustment :
Bring the swath screen closer to or further away from the rotor, depending on crop density.
- Free lock (V) by turning it in the direction of the arrow (photo 18).
- Operate handle (P) to bring the swath screen closer to or further away from the rotor (photo 18).
- Engage lock (V) into one of the 5 possible positions (photo 18).
b) Lengthways adjustment :
The swath screen is adjusted both sideways and lengthways at the same time. To make additional lengthways
adjustment, move swath screen either toward the front or toward the rear (holes T), after first unscrewing the 2
attachment screws (F) (photo 19). When working in green forage, it is recommended to move swath screen forward
to catch any crop thrown sideways.
c) Vertical adjustment :
3 positions (E) can be selected (photo 19). As a rule, the screen (G) should be fixed in the centre. The other positions
are to be used only if necessary :
. the higher position when the ground is very uneven,
. the lower position when the crop is short and light.
