Honey Soy Chicken Wings
Ingredients
500g chicken wings
2-3 cloves garlic, crushed
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp tomato sauce
2 tsp grated ginger
Method
• Cut the chicken wings on the joints into easily manageable pieces.
• Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and stir until smooth.
• Brush the chicken wings with the marinade and place in a large, shallow dish.
Refrigerate, covered, for at least one hour.
• Preheat the grill on heat setting 5 and lightly oil the grill plate.
• When the grill has reached the set temperature, place the chicken wings, skin
side up, on the heated grill plate and cook for 10 – 15 minutes, or until golden
and thoroughly cooked through. Turn the wing pieces once halfway through the
cooking time.
Barbequed Prawns
Ingredients
16 large green prawns, peeled and deveined (leaving tails intact)
2 cloves garlic
1 small red chilli, finely chopped
2 tbsp olive oil
For serving: aioli, herb mayonnaise, sweet chilli sauce, or seafood sauce
Method
• Combine the prawns with the garlic, chilli and olive oil, and refrigerate, covered,
for 2 hours.
• Preheat the grill on heat setting 3 – 4.
• Drizzle prawns with a little more oil and cook, turning occasionally, for 2 minutes,
or until the prawns change colour and curl.
• Serve immediately with your preferred condiment.
