• Why is the temperature indicator lamp sometimes on and sometimes off
while I’m using the barbeque?
When the temperature of the grill plate drops below the set level, the
thermostat will switch on the heating element and the temperature indicator
lamp will come on. It will stay illuminated until the plate has reached the set
temperature again.
• Do the grill surfaces have to be oiled, and if so, what oil should I use?
The grill plate is non-stick coated to prevent food sticking to it. It is not
necessary to oil the plate. For best results, we therefore recommend you only
brush a little oil onto the food to be grilled.
• Can I use steel wool or a metal brush for cleaning the barbeque?
No. Do not use steel wool or metal cleaning utensils as these can damage the
non-stick coating of the grill plate. Use a plastic spatula to scrape off excess
fat and food particles baked onto the grill plate, then use a nylon scrubbing
pad to remove stubborn stains.
• Do I have to close the metal hood when grilling meat?
No. You can barbeque food with the hood open. However, closing the hood
will enable convection cooking and accelerate the cooking time for roasts. And
when the barbeque is not being used, the closed hood will keep it clean and
protected.
• Can I use the barbeque indoors?
Yes. The grill can be used with or without the stand. However, when using it
on the benchtop, take particular care with the lid so the appliance does not tip
over.
• Do I have to disassemble the barbeque during storage?
No. When you are not going to use your barbeque for a long time, we
recommend covering it with a large plastic bag to protect it from dust and dirt.
Store it, with the temperature regulator disconnected, in a dry place, out of
children's reach. Make sure the grill is clean and dry before storing.
