connections.

5.5 Enclosure/insulation

DANGER

Risk of potentially explosive atmosphere due to insufficient venting

Explosion hazard!

▷

Make sure the space between the casing cover/discharge cover and the bearing
cover is sufficiently vented.

▷

Never close or cover the perforation of the bearing bracket guards (e.g. by
insulation).

WARNING

The volute casing and casing/discharge cover take on the same temperature as
the fluid handled

Risk of burns!

▷

Insulate the volute casing.

▷

Fit protective equipment.

CAUTION

Heat build-up in the bearing bracket

Damage to the bearing!

▷

Never insulate the bearing bracket, bearing bracket lantern and casing cover.

5.6 Checking the coupling alignment

coupling
