When draining the fluid take appropriate measures to protect persons and the

Decontaminate pumps which handle fluids posing a health hazard.
CAUTION
Danger of frost/freezing
Damage to the pump set!
▷
If there is any danger of frost/freezing, remove the pump set from the fluid
handled and clean, preserve and store it.
The pump set remains installed

Make sure sufficient fluid is available for the functional check run of the pump
set.
1. For prolonged shutdown periods, start up the pump set regularly between once
a month and once every three months for approximately one minute.
This will prevent the formation of deposits within the pump and the pump
intake area.
The pump (set) is removed from the pipe and stored
ü
All safety regulations are observed. (
1. Clean the pump set.
2. Preserve the pump set.
3. Observe the information for storage and preservation. (
6.4 Returning to service
For returning the pump set to service, observe the items on commissioning/start-up.

Refer to and comply with the operating limits. (
For returning the pump set to service after storage also follow the instructions for
maintenance/inspection.
WARNING
Failure to re-install or re-activate protective devices
Risk of injury from moving parts or escaping fluid!

As soon as the work is completed, properly re-install and re-activate any safety-
relevant devices and protective devices.
NOTE
On pumps/pump sets older than 5 years we recommend replacing all elastomer
seals.
